Ruth Beitia, among the nominees for best athlete of 2016
The Spanish athlete Ruth Beitia is nominated for the award for best athlete of 2016. After being chosen as the best athlete in Europe this year with British Mo Farah, now the Cantabrian leaper aspires to world award that deliver the IAAF on December 2 at a gala to be held in Monaco.
If successful, it would be the first Spanish athlete to achieve this recognition. An award that 25% is decided through popular vote from social networks, so we can do our bit to help Beitia receive this award, in a ratings will be open until Nov. 1.

Nominees for Best Male Athlete category 2016
Nominated to win the Athlete of 2016 in the women’s category they are:
